Record a Sighting

Have you spotted an interesting species along the Sunderland coastline? You can use the tools below to submit a wildlife sighting to the Environmental Records Information Centre, also known as ERIC North East.

You can create an account which will allow you to log in and record any new wildlife sighting

Or you can submit a sighting via email:

ERIC require the following pieces of information:

• What did you see?
• When did you see it?
• Who saw it?
• Where did you see it?

You can download a records form from the ERIC website and email your sighting to eric.ne@twmuseums.org.uk. More information can be found on their website.

You can also let us know via social media if you have spotted anything interesting, we would love to hear about your nature encounters along the coast!
