Green-veined White

Green-veined White

Scientific Name: ( Pieris napi )

The third of our most common white butterflies this widespread butterfly, the Green-veined White can be found in our damp places like hedgerows, ditches, river/lake sides, ponds and damp meadows.

While very similar to the small white with the white upper wing with grey spots on the wing and yellow underwing however, their underwing is characterised with green-like dots along the veins giving them their name.
