Guided Rock Pooling Session (27/08/2025)

Join COAST Sunderland and COAST South Tyneside for a guided rock pooling session on Roker Beach. We will learn about the rocky shore habitat and carefully observe and ID the unique and wonderful species that call the rockpools home. This free session will provide guidance on how to rockpool safely and minimise disturbance to wildlife.

This event is open to all ages, however under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and ensure suitable footwear is worn such as wellies or water shoes. No sliders or flipflops to be worn. Access to the rockpools may require walking over uneven and slippery surfaces. Children must supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
