Join COAST Sunderland and botanist Richard Hockin from Durham Wildlife Trust as we search for weird and wonderful wildflowers along the coast. This area typically supports a diverse range of plants including several orchid species.
We will meet at the Hendon Beach Cliff Car Park (see details below) and head through the Hendon Local Nature Reserve and along the coastline, before returning to our starting point.
This event is open to all ages but please note that under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate clothing and suitable clothing.

Date: Saturday 31st May
Time: 10:30am- 12:30pm
Location: Meeting at Hendon Beach Cliff Car Park. To access the car park via car or foot turn left at the Hendon Grange Pub, cross the railway line and follow the road to the left until you reach the car park. Alternatively, this car park is located to the south just above Hendon Promenade car park so it is possible to park in the promenade car park and walk along the paths.
